A small note from the desk

There’s a corner of my desk that collects things: a postcard from a town I’ve never visited, a to-do list I can no longer read. This is the online version of that corner.

I’ll leave the occasional short note here. Something I’ve just finished, or a garden that won’t leave me alone, or a small piece of news when there’s any worth sharing. Nothing on a schedule, nothing that needs answering. If you’re on the postcard list, the newest of these finds its way to you without me having to remember to send it, which rather suits us both.

Now and then — when there’s a cover to reveal, a book to launch, or a chance to read early — I’ll send you a digital postcard from my desk. No fixed schedule, nothing pushy, and you can leave any time.
