Before you ask
Questions, gently answered.
-
Is Book 0 free?
Yes. A Murder on the Jacaranda Coast is a free prequel novella; the easiest way to get it is to join the postcard list, where it lands straight in your inbox.
-
When do the books come out?
Honestly? Not yet — this is the very beginning. None of the books are out. The best way to know the moment anything’s ready is the postcard list; it always hears first.
-
Is this a full series?
Yes. Ten books are planned, following June across a decade and around the world. The postcard list hears about each new destination first.
-
What’s the reading order?
Start with the free prequel, A Murder on the Jacaranda Coast. After that each book stands on its own, though June and her world grow richer if you read them in order. It arrives free when you join the postcard list.
-
Are these scary or gory?
No. They’re cozy mysteries: gentle, atmospheric, more puzzle-and-place than blood. A body turns up, but the pleasure is in the garden, the town and the slow-burn romance. If that’s your kind of evening, the postcards are too.
-
Is there romance?
A slow-burn one, yes — the kind that unfolds across books. No cliffhangers that hold your heart hostage, promise. You’ll watch it unfold first from the postcard list.
-
Are the places real?
The cities are real and lived-in — I write about places I’ve actually stood in. The houses, families and crimes are invented. Every month the postcards send you a photo from one of them.
-
What do I actually get by joining the list?
One postcard a month while I write: a photo from a real place behind the series, the true story I found there, and a note on progress. Members read each new story before anyone else, and the first fifty get a real paper postcard mailed from Australia. Come and join us.
